APPEAL  !! 

 

On 19th March Carmarthenshire County Council determined this  application.  The decision was to REFUSE planning application for a 50mw power station in the Gwendraeth Valley. 

 

We thank them for the time that they have taken to review this application and applaud them for reaching a decision that ensures we all breath clean air in the future.

The Developer has now appealed this application to the Planning

Inspectorate based in Cardiff.  As soon as we have a timetable

for the appeal process we will be back in touch to let you know

how to fight the appeal and make sure that your voice is heard at

the National level

Why We are Objecting:-

Ä   50 years of planning conditions restoring the site to agriculture ignored by planning

Ä   Extra 350 HGV movements per week on our rural roads

Ä   Major risk to human health from emissions and pollutants, asthma, cardiovascular diseases

Ä    Critical damage to protected species

Ä   Threat to recent inward investment in tourism eg Ffos Las, Pembrey

Ä     Low job creation - 40 is best estimate for £80 million investment

Ä   No evidence of sustainability, no carbon footprint
