Coed Bach

michael:
After years of sterling effort to regenerate this beautiful area, it seems quite bizarre to suddenly go into reverse and build a polluting power station in the middle of it all. If Coed Bach had not existed as a washery, would the county plan have included a power station in Trimsaran? There is obviously no good reason to site it there other than easy profit for the developer- there are certainly no benefits either for the local people or the planet.

hello the purification of the waste which will be tree waste which contains resin, green waste, from other than Canadian supply,(we are lead to believe) it only works if it is burnt at a very high temperature and this sort of system has a very short life span due to the high temperature. It is very much like a car which has a catalytic converter. People believe that this stops pollution, wrong it reduces pollution after it has reached the right working temperature. Which is the same principal as the system being proposed. It must maintain this very high temperature to be of any use. As the plant become older the efficiency of this filtration system becomes less and less effective. I am sure that everybody in Wales knows how hard it is to get rid of something that’s already there, and unless another large investment is made in a few year time the filtration will get worse and worse. Unless an eye is keep on this there will be problems in the future.

we already have enough HGV thundering through Carway we don’t want any more or the pollution of the power station.
You have my support.

peter:
If all this bio fuel is saving the plant, am I not correct in asking. 1)Trees cut down in Canada send them some ware to make pellets teats 2 lots of fuel 2)From pellet factory to ship the shipped to the UK that’s 2 more trips. 3) From docks to biomass burner some by road some by train 2more 4)Then waste taken landfill 1 more trip. This sounds such a good way of saving fuel I wonder why it has not been thought of in the past, also if the tourist trade is already suffering lets add to its problem, or we could add this attraction to it with headlines like "Come and see this eye sore which has helped ruin the area "the rising cost of fuel will still affect the deliver to this sit by train or lorry, how its this helping. You pay more because e they pay more This will not bring the cost of electric down, but it will put your council tax up because of road repairs, and lorries pump out more fumes than that the biomass also the waste from this site will be going to land fill which will put a bigger strain on the council meeting landfill target. Do you think this is going to bring more jobs local, which has been clearing the site local people? It will not be locals that do the building. Do you want machines running 24hrs a day to make this project pay?

SHAUN MORRELL:
to the people of Gwendraeth valley say NO to the power station. We love our fresh air and rolling country-side

SHAUN MORRELL:
my family and I don’t want a power station the size of Trostre at the bottom of the valley; it will pollute the air, kill greenery and be an eye sore which will black mark on our country

Rhys::
NO,No,No!!! This must be stopped, the local planning department need to know of the strong objections too!! Please write to them. NOT IN MY BACK YARD!!! PUBLIC MEETING WEDNESDAY 9th JULY 7.30pm Concerns can and will be voiced!!

Simon Elder:
We've already got loads of ex-miners living nearby with breathing ailments, I see no need for more. However according to the Law of Attraction we need a positive message as fighting against something adds attention to it and therefore attracts it, so a good alternative plan/suggestion to meet the needs of those involved needs to be found and then campaign for that.

Peter Evans:
I object to the Biomass Power Station. The proposed site is surrounded by tourist attractions i.e. golf course at Carway, horse racing track under development at Trimsaran, Pembrey Country Park (will the stack dominate the skyline?), racetrack and Kidwelly Castle. Where is the sense in putting a power station in the middle of them. I feel just as strongly about the biomess blight on our ecology and environment.

Peter Butler:
It’s all to do with subsidies paid for producing the extra power not sustainable energy. Farmer will grow this produce to burn instead of food, perhaps the owner could build a power plant in his back yard then we could see if he thinks it such a good idea, is the waste going to land fill? do rate payers pay for road repair or the owner? We all know the answer to that.
NO THANK YOU TO THIS POWER/MONEY MAKER. I WOULD RATHER SIT IN THE DARK FOR THE FEW HOURS ADAY, THEN HAVE TO LIVE WITH A SMOG MACHINE 24HOURS ADAY

Kingsley Tart:
Don't spoil yet another beautiful area - there aren't enough of them left already.

Fran Burke-Lloyd:
My children and I, object strongly to the plan to insert this biomass power station into our environment and our lives. They wish to live a long & healthy life in Wales.

Dale:
He is trying to put one in Swansea, yes it really should go to Alaska, and we have put up with enough pollution. Why should we all suffer from any more?

Redmond Hanlon:
Proponents of biomass power stations like this one (Tansterne, Yorkshire, and Winkleigh, Devon, for example) typically explain the choice of site by its proximity to its main source of feedstock.
This one should be in Alaska.

Audrey Hole:
I totally disagree, no biomass, I live in Swansea and he is trying to put one here also.....

Gerard Walker:
We object to Coedbach Power Station.

Markus Eisenmann :
Welcome to the Carmarthenshire, the Garden of Wales!
We object to Coedbach Power Station.

Ginette Wheatley:
I object to Coedbach Power Station

Alison Evans:
I Strongly oppose to this station development. The health risks to local residents are endless!!!

Dai Morgan:
The Major worry is what they don’t tell us, like what alternative rubbish they might burn!!!, and what they propose for the rest of the site!!!

Shaun Thomas:
stop it now. why do we need biomass? it will just ruin our health

Daniel Thomas:
NO TO BIOMASS, I love your logo it really got your point across, lets stop this Hugh from putting his Biomass stations everywhere. let’s say no for all!!!

peter
What really annoys me are the health issues as a result of emissions and pollutants which have far reaching implications on the youth and the old.

coedbach:
NO BIOMASS PLANT
